Jonathan Suderman

Jonathan Suderman grew up in Edmonton, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical-Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alberta. He worked professionally as an engineer for two years before returning to the U of A for medical school. Jonathan became interested in Urology after becoming involved in a research project exploring the relationship between riding the Big Thunder Mountain Rollercoaster at Walt Disney World, and passing kidney stones. This project led to multiple other, more clinically oriented, research projects with the endourology team in Edmonton. During his elective at UBC, he was impressed by the outstanding surgical ability of the residents and staff, and he feels incredibly fortunate to join the team. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys hanging out with his wife and friends, playing basketball, skiing, mountain biking, strumming his guitar and singing off-key.
