Born in South Korea and raised in Oakville, Ontario, I completed my undergraduate degree at Western University in London prior to commencing medical school training at UBC. Inspired by the charismatic teachings of the staff urologist from classrooms to the operating rooms, I developed an early interest in urology heading into clerkship. Working with a team of compassionate, proficient and nurturing residence at VGH cultivated my early interest in urology into a lifelong pursuit. I am thrilled at the opportunity to train where it all started and to grow under the world-class mentorship the program fosters. Along the way, I hope to emulate the excellence of the programs predecessors. Outside of these pursuits, I can be seen playing pick up basketball and local community centres, pushing weights at the gym, and exploring Korean food options in the Lower Mainland.
