Taylor Kandler

Taylor Kandler is originally from Prince George, British Columbia. She completed her Bachelors of Health Science Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Indigenous Studies from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). She supplemented her degree with an internship, and later a research position, at Harvard University in Global Health and Human Rights, which solidified her interest in pursuing a career in medicine. She attended UBC for medical school. During her clinical years, she found Urology best satisfied her medical and surgical interests, as well as a desire for a career focused on improving patients quality of life. Outside of medicine – Taylor enjoys cooking, dining, reading and outdoor activities, such as a fishing and crabbing. UBC Urology was an obvious top choice for residency with its rigorous surgical training and esteemed faculty, while being embedded within the community she calls home.
